The Echo Killing in the news

With The Echo Killing now launched in the US and the UK, I thought I’d share some of the articles that have been written about it. Things have been very busy lately. You may have seen The Echo Killing in your local newspaper, or perhaps you’ve come across it online. I hope so! We’ve been working hard to spread the word.

On publication day, The Echo Killing was reviewed by the Associated Press, and that review was picked up by HUNDREDS of newspapers, including the Washington Post and the New York Daily News: Author Nails Newsroom Culture.

Thanks to your amazing Goodreads reviews (and I am so grateful for that!) Goodreads included it on their list of the 20 Big Mysteries and Thrillers This Spring. There are a lot of amazing looking books on that list, by the way. My TBR stack is growing.

Red Magazine included The Echo Killing in their roundup of The Twistiest Turniest Thrillers out now.

I was interviewed by Criminal Element, and revealed my love for Cormoran Strike, Dashiel Hammett and Anna Lee. Find out all about my influences, and learn what happens to Harper next.

I did an audio interview with the lovely folks at Red Carpet Crash. I’m too nervous to listen to it – I always talk WAY too fast – but I’m told it isn’t too humiliating. Have a listen here.

And, finally, I wrote an article about my years as a crime reporter at the Savannah Morning News when I was 21 years old. My own nightly search for killers is not that dissimilar from Harper’s work, it’s fair to say. I explain why it took me so long to finally write a novel set in that world. Read the whole story here.

You’ll find more articles and reviews (I’ve been busy, y’all!) on my press page.

If you haven’t done it yet, please join my book club. I’ve already given away five signed copies of The Echo Killing there. Joining is free. You get free stuff. First looks at Book 2 will be going up soon, too. I promise it’s painless. I’ll be doing more giveaways there, as well as on my Facebook page and Twitter. Hook up and win.

When you’re done, have a look at The Echo Killing Book trailer. It was chosen as Book Trailer of the Week by Shelf Awareness. Then let me know what you think in the comments below.

Thanks so much you guys. And, as always, if you loved The Echo Killing, I’d be so happy if you’d leave a review on Amazon and Goodreads. It really helps.
